Eduardo Blázquez Mateos

Eduardo Blázquez Mateos is Full Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences of Universidad Rey Juan Carlos of Madrid. Area of ​​Aesthetics and Theory of the Arts. Specialization Performing Arts. He teaches in the Degree Course in Visual Arts and Dance. He began his career as a researcher and lecturer at the FPI in the academic year 1989-1900, with four stays at the University of Genoa, 1990-1994.

Doctor in History of Art (UAM), 1995. He taught at the University of Salamanca, at the UAM. His doctoral thesis focused on the analysis of symbolic spaces in the Renaissance, scenography and the history of the garden, covering Ephemeral Art in the emblematic Entrance of the Kings to Madrid recreated by Calderón de la Barca. Quality and innovation are the focus of the books published on Scenography, Stage Space and the relationship between painting and cinema.The studies carried out on the relationships between painting and cinema are linked to the research carried out between classical poetry and landscape at the University of Alcalá with Julia Barella.
